Istanbul ’17 | Day 8: Something for the Spirit
29th July ’17. Day 8 of 9.
We decided to take it easy today, so we spent the afternoon in Sultanahmet. This sight needs no introduction.. (insert heart eyes).
In the evening, we decided to visit Eyup Sultan one last time. We spent a few hours there, and it is definitely one of the highlights of Istanbul. The courtyard is calm, though in the distance there is the laughter of children throwing tiny spinning light-up toys into the night sky. And then you enter into the resting place itself..
We headed back to Sultanahmet just after midnight, and grabbed a Turkish coffee before returning to the apartment to pack. Tomorrow is our last day in Istanbul, and we’ve barely even started!
