Completed Art: ‘Exploration’

‘Exploration’ started out as an experimental piece which I finally completed a few days ago. The larger surface area of each motif allowed room for a richer range of colours and gradients, and enabled me to explore the possibilities of freer movement with my brush. I used layering to create tonal gradients and eventually came to love the effect of a single heavily-diluted wash of colour, thus preserving some of this effect towards the top of the piece.
